About Green Revolution

About the Owners

Green Revolution was formed by Paul Chaplin and Jim Dunlop in 2011, they are based in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Since their formation the company has completed many projects both residential and commercial in scale, throughout the region. These projects are saving residents of the Caribbean hundreds of thousands of dollars each year.

With a combined experience of over fifty years in construction, almost thirty of these being in the Caribbean. Paul and Jim have a large network of worldwide suppliers and partners enabling them to carry out projects of all sizes.

Over the last two decades the Caribbean has seen a large number of developments designed with little apparent concern for their efficiency. Renewable energy alternatives were discounted early in the design development process as they were considered too expensive to be incorporated into the developers budget, these decisions were made with no concern for the end user and the environment. Since the recent Global recession more importance has been placed on end user running costs and therefore more home owners, architects and developers are considering energy efficiency and various forms of renewable energy in their projects.

Our Locations

Turks and Caicos Islands

The grid is extremely reliable and often maintains power supplies through the duration of major hurricanes.

Bahamas

The grid is unable to handle peak demand in Nassau, which results in rolling blackouts throughout New Providence.

Our Mission

The aim of Green Revolution is to introduce renewable energy and the concept of energy efficiency into the everyday lives of the citizens and residents of the Caribbean region.

We have focused on providing technologies that are low maintenance, offer quick paybacks, are suited to the region and regional weather variations (including the hurricane season). We clearly identify savings, presenting the case for each technology in the simplest terms possible.

In the Caribbean, electricity costs are among the highest in the world between $0.35 and $0.70 per kilowatt hour, integration of renewable energy technologies into the design of a building at the earliest design stage, enables considerable savings through the life span of a building. The payback periods on the technologies we offer range from 6 months to 6 years, the Caribbean region offers one of the most advantageous locations to invest in Renewable Energy with no artificial Government incentives, just the power of the forces of nature!!
